Soccer (Futbol)

Soccer is my favorite sport. I started playing at 3 and was completely hooked. I think my love for travel may have began as a passion for soccer (or at least that is a convienient excuse). Other countries love soccer and I was able to travel abroad because of soccer. My team in high school went to the Netherlands and stayed with girls on another team. We were able to train with them and play against them. It was great to see how celebrated the sport was there. It was also interesting to see how women's teams had to work even harder there to prove themselves.

Currently my favorite player is Didiere Drogba- he conveniently (for me) plays for one of my favorite teams during the regular season (Chelsea) so I always know what team I'm going to cheer for. Click on the image of him being victorious to visit his website- then you can be a fan too... haha if you want

Home-New Jersey

"Well in the end, we can all call a friend, well that's something that I know as true
In a thousand years, and a thousand tears, I'll come finding my original crew
Cause to me throughout eternity there is somewhere we are welcome to go
I said it's something free that means a lot to me, when I'm with my friends I feel home

I feel home when I see the faces that remember my own
I feel home when I'm chillin outside with the people I know
I feel home, and that's just what I feel
Cause home, to me, is reality and all I need is something real" OAR

New Jersey has a bad image, but that doesnt bother me. Those who live there know the positives and we just want to keep it secret.

I was watching Anthony Bourdain (Host of No Reservations on the Travel Channel) and he was visiting some place that looked like the country side. Much to my own surprise, he was in NJ. I guess theres some things/places not even I know about in the dirty jerz.

Dining

"One of the very nicest things about life is the way we must regularly stop whatever it is we are doing and devote our attention to eating"
~Luciano Pavarotti and William Wright, Pavarotti, My Own Story

There are many delicious places to eat in Boston. However, after living here for 4 years I've created a list of my favorite 10 places to eat in this city. If the place has a website, click on the name and it will take you there for more information.

They are.. in no particular order:

1. Zaftigs
2. Brown Sugar
3. The Hub
4. Metropolitan Cafe
5. Annas Taqueria
6. Beehive
7. Trident Cafe
8. The Cheesecake Factory
9. Upper Crust
10. Sunset Cantina

I hope you try some of these places out if your in Boston. Enjoy!

Travel

"We travel, initially, to lose ourselves; and we travel, next, to find ourselves. We travel to open our hearts and eyes and learn more about the world than our newspapers will accommodate. We travel to bring what little we can, in our ignorance and knowledge, to those parts of the globe whose riches are differently dispersed. And we travel, in essence, to become young fools again -- to slow time down and get taken in, and fall in love once more"

I absolutely love traveling. I don't think you can truly understand where you come from unless you have visited other places. Right now I'm in a place where I make money in order to spend it immediately on travel- much to the dismay of my parents :/ But, as a recent college grad, I feel as though its now or never.

There are a few places I have been that top my list (besides home, of course). They are:
New Zealand (anywhere, its beautiful)
Phuket, Thailand
Paris, France
Melbourne, Australia
Barcelona, Spain

I hope to find some more places as great as those... but I will need to find a job first
